HISTORY
In 2010, the idea came up to show the Kingston population the Latino culture through a Latin association in the city.
Through the initiative of Catherine Lord and thanks to the enthusiasm of a group of Latinos, we started with the idea to form a Latin American and Caribbean association. After many months of work and meetings between Latino immigrants, it was decided that we would create a formal partnership to be identified as a group by the Canadian community and other cultural communities.
The first group was called Kingston Latin American and Caribbean Association, but we later decided to change the name to something shorter and easier to understand both in English and Spanish. The new name is Kingston Latino.
MISSION
We are a socially responsible Latino community, vibrant, inclusive and united, that supports its members, is receptive to newcomers and is valued by the community of Kingston. We are interested in forging bonds of friendship with the Canadian people and of any other nation.
VISION
Our vision is to be the main promoter of different Latin American cultures in Kingston, unite as a support group for our members and become the gateway for other Latin Americans who wish to settle in this city.

HISTORIA
En el año 2010 surge la idea de mostrar a la población de Kingston la cultura latina mediante una asociación de Latinos en esta ciudad.
De esta forma por iniciativa de y gracias al entusiasmo de un grupo de Latinos se empieza con la inquietud de formar una asociación Latinoamericana y del Caribe. Tras muchos meses de trabajo y de reuniones entre los inmigrantes Latinos se toma la decisión de formar una asociación formal para ser identificados como grupo por la comunidad canadiense en Kingston y demás comunidades culturales.Catherine Lord
El grupo primeramente se llamó Kingston Latin American and Caribbean Association, pero se decide cambiar el nombre por uno más corto y fácil de entender tanto en inglés como en español, el nuevo nombre es Kingston Latino.

Somos una comunidad latina socialmente responsable, vibrante, incluyente y unida; que apoya a sus miembros, es receptiva de los recién llegados y es valorizada por la comunidad de Kingston. Nos interesa generar lazos de amistad con los habitantes canadienses y de cualquier otra nación.
VISIÓN
Ser el principal promotor de las diferentes culturas latinoamericanas en Kingston, consolidarnos como grupo de apoyo para nuestros miembros y convertirnos en la puerta de entrada para otros latinoamericanos que desean establecerse en esta ciudad.
